Commodities Corner: Why scorching summer temperatures haven’t yet led to a lasting rally for natural gas

Natural-gas futures climbed by nearly 6% on Thursday, but the rally did little to ease the year’s hefty loss for the commodity as traders bet that supplies will be more than enough to cover demand, even as much of the U.S. and parts of the world experience scorching temperatures.
